Mens sana in corpore sano: A sound mind in a sound body
In Deeper Well Being we begin with the physical body as the source and foundation of consciousness. That doesn’t mean that we need a perfect body (there are no perfect bodies) to cultivate Wisdom in our lives. It is to recognize that if we don’t feel good physically it will be that much more of a struggle (but certainly possible) to feel good in other ways. We don’t have to work out every day; not many of us have the resources to make that practical. Rather, the practices that make up our individual fitness programs are something that should become a sustainable, permanent part of our lives. At first perhaps this seems like a high standard, and, in a sense, it is. A significant portion of our time, energy, and money must be devoted to achieving our physical goals. We have to learn to enjoy our commitment to our bodies to maintain the effort required for success. Our goal is to help you create an independent, personal practice of physical wellbeing.
